The Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill
Each year, millions of people across the United States and around the world practice how to “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” during the International The Great ShakeOut, the world's largest earthquake drill. The drill occurs at 10:19 a.m. on the third Thursday of October each year.
Each year students and staff participate in the district-wide drill in order to test our emergency procedures and communications in the event of a real emergency.
We encourage you to create an emergency preparedness plan and have provided a list of resources to assist with the planning process.
