Gilroy High School hosts the annual Gifted Games
GUSD Communications

The annual Gifted Games took place at Gilroy High School on April 26, 2019.

Over 600 athletes representing 22 schools from Gilroy Unified, San Benito Unified and other entities (Chamberlain's Children Center, Social Vocational Services, Hope Services, Swanston Lane Preschool, and the Santa Clara County Office of Education) participated in opening ceremonies, a one mile run, various field events and a 50 yard dash before being awarded a medal of participation to close the day.

This event is produced by over 250 volunteers who donate over 1,500 volunteer hours. Many thanks to Sam Sauer, Chris Leong, Dr. Marco Sanchez, the staff and students of Gilroy High School, emcees Don and Bria DeLorenzo, and the families, students, teachers and support staff who make this event possible!

Participating GUSD schools included: Gilroy High School, Christopher High School, Solorsano Middle School, Brownell Middle School, South Valley Middle School, Antonio Del Buono Elementary, El Roble Elementary, Glen View Elementary, Las Animas Elementary, Luigi Aprea Elementary, and Rucker Elementary.
