The Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Woolman, as the new Director of Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance, at the November 17, 2022 regular board meeting. "We are thrilled to welcome Matt to Team GUSD," shared Superintendent Deborah A. Flores, "We are thrilled with his knowledge base and experience, and expect that he will make an immediate impact on the operations of our District which benefits our staff and students tremendously."
He brings 22 years of construction, Project management and facilities experience in various trades to the Gilroy Unified School District. Mr. Woolman holds multiple licenses with the Contractors State License Board including a B General Building Contractors License along with a C20 HVAC license and various other certifications.
He specializes in the sub-trades and has completed many projects over his career with various clients including: Google, Nest, UCSF, Kaiser, Waste Management, Ravenswood & Portola School Districts, Gavilan College and Verizon.
Mr. Woolman has lived in the Gilroy community for the past ten years. In his spare time he enjoys participating in his daughters’ extracurricular activities, spending time with family, BBQing, camping or out on the road exploring new places.
