
At the August 20, 2026 regular meeting, the Board of Education appointed Paul Nadeau as the new GUSD Director of Facilities, Maintenance and Operations.
Paul brings more than 37 years of leadership experience in both private-sector and public education organizations to his new role with Gilroy Unified School District. He has served as the District’s Director of Facilities, Planning & Management since 2018, overseeing facilities planning, construction, modernization, maintenance planning, and the implementation of the District’s General Obligation Bond program.
Before joining Gilroy Unified, Paul served as Manager of Maintenance & Operations for the Hollister School District. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions in the private sector and was a co-founder of Navigator Schools, a public charter school organization serving students in the South Santa Clara and San Benito County region.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco. Throughout his career with Gilroy Unified, he has led more than $180 million in school facility improvements, including the modernizations of Brownell and South Valley Middle Schools, the Gilroy High School competition pool and student plaza, improvements to Antonio Del Buono State Preschool, the Transportation Yard modernization, solar and roofing projects, and development of the District’s Facilities Master Plan.
Paul is also active in the Gilroy community and served as President of the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association. He values community service and believes that well-planned, well-maintained schools are an important investment in students and the community they serve.
