We are pleased to report that the Gilroy Teachers Association and the District bargaining teams met for mediation today and  reached a tentative agreement on bargaining for the 2025-2026 school year.   The District team extends its appreciation to the GTA bargaining team and State mediator for helping the teams reach an agreement today.  Highlights from this tentative agreement include:

• The District will retroactively cover the cost of the health benefit increase back to January 1, 2026.
• 3 percent off-schedule salary increase for the 2025-26 school year.
• Extends the MOU to guarantee lower class size for TK-3rd grade through 2028!

After GTA unit members and the GUSD Board of Trustees ratify this agreement, the District will begin to process the retroactive payments.
