At the June 30 special meeting, the GUSD Board of Education appointed two new administrators: Kristin DeLucca, Assistant Principal at Solorsano Middle School and Jesus Flores Olmedo, Custodial Supervisor.
Kristin DeLucca, Assistant Principal, Solorsano Middle School

Kristin brings 17 years of experience in education, having taught first, fourth, and sixth grade across Evergreen School District and a private school in Morgan Hill. She joined Gilroy Unified in 2018 as the Literacy Facilitator at Las Animas Elementary School, where she spent seven years supporting students, teachers, and families while taking on a wide range of leadership responsibilities. Her work at Las Animas, a feeder school to Solorsano, has allowed her to build lasting relationships with students and families who are now part of the Solorsano community.
While working at Las Animas, Kristin completed her Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administrative Credential from San Diego State University in December 2025.
A Gilroy resident, Kristin and her husband, a Fire Captain, are the proud parents of three sons. She enjoys cheering on her younger sons at their sporting events, listening to her oldest play guitar, and spending time with family and friends. In her free time, she also enjoys being outdoors, reading, and Pilates.
