Gilroy, CA — The Gilroy Unified School District (GUSD) is delighted to announce that Mt. Madonna High School (MMHS) and the District’s Adult Ed program will be relocating to the South County Annex beginning with the 2025-26 school year. This move marks a significant step forward in expanding and enhancing the educational experience for MMHS students and staff, as well as the Adult Ed program.

The new location at the South County Annex will provide updated facilities, improved resources, and more space to support student learning and success.

“We are thrilled about this relocation and what it means for the future of Mt. Madonna High School and our Adult Education program,” said Dr. Anisha Munshi, Superintendent of the Gilroy Unified School District. “The relocation of both programs to the South County Annex supports learning environments that align with our district’s commitment to equity, innovation, and student achievement. We deeply appreciate the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) for working with us to make this move a reality.  We are grateful for the continued partnership with SCCOE and the services that are available to South County students and families.”

The transition of the MMHS and the Adult Ed programs to the current South County Annex means that most of the current Santa Clara County Office of Education programming currently housed there will be relocated.  Information about the relocation of these programs will be announced by the SCCOE at a later date.

The South County Annex, located at 9300 Wren Avenue, was formerly the site of Antonio Del Buono Elementary School, which closed in 2019 due to declining enrollment in GUSD.

The District will work closely with families, students, and staff in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition and to keep the community informed and engaged throughout the process, and more information about the transition will be available soon.

Plans for the future use of the current MMHS campus are currently underway.
