California School Employees Association, Chapter 69 (“CSEA”) and the Gilroy Unified School District are pleased to announce that we have reached a Tentative Agreement.
The California School Employees Association represents District employees who provide essential operational services for the students, staff and community of Gilroy. This amazing group includes staff from our clerical group, food service, maintenance and custodial, transportation, information technology support, and campus safety.
The major terms of the agreement include:
- 10.5% salary increase retroactive to July 1, 2022
- Additional health benefits contributions to cover the increased costs which went into effect on January 1, 2023
- Improvements to “on-call” stipends for bus drivers
The California School Employees Association and the Gilroy Unified School District are proud to continue to work together to offer significant increases to salary and benefits for our valued employees in CSEA. This year’s Tentative Agreement represents the single largest salary increase in decades, adding to last year’s 7.25% salary increase.
All these changes will be presented to the membership in a general meeting this month and will later be presented to the Board of Education on March 23, 2023.
