At the June 25, 2025 special meeting, the GUSD Board of Education appointed Lisa Martin as the new Principal of Mt. Madonna Continuation High School.

Lisa Martin joins the Gilroy Unified School District leadership team after spending seven years as a parent and school leader with the Morgan Hill Unified School District (MHUSD).  She began her career working with youth involved in the justice system in Santa Clara County in 2000, and transitioned to supporting high school students in Campbell as a Counselor and Assistant Principal in 2003.

She received her Master of Arts in School Counseling  from San Jose State University in 2003, and completed her Leadership Credential through National University in 2008.

Most recently, she led the alternative programs for MHUSD to include a large variety of students being served outside the traditional school setting.  
Lisa and her husband, a corporate pilot, have five children.  Their oldest child recently graduated from San Diego State University. Their second oldest child is a third year student at CSU Fullerton, and their other three attend local high schools.  She enjoys reading, and enjoying the beautiful Bay Area weather.  As a San Martin resident, she looks forward to engaging with Gilroy and Mt. Madonna communities.
