Board of Education appoints Dianne Padilla as new Program Administrator of Mental Health and Wellness

At the June 17 regular meeting, the Board of Education appointed Dianne Padilla as the District’s new Program Administrator of Mental Health and Wellness.

Dianne Padilla was born and raised in Gilroy and attended local schools, graduating from Gilroy High School in 1993. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from CSU Stanislaus, and returned to Gilroy to begin her career in public education, following graduation from college. She was hired by GUSD in 2002 where she began her over 20 years of service to our community, as a teacher, counselor, and Principal of Mt. Madonna High School, where she has served from 2016 until her new appointment.

Her commitment to serve students and families in Gilroy is evident in her drive for excellence, while motivating students to achieve success. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, a teacher at Gilroy High School, and their two children, Bella and Nova.

Mrs. Padilla begins in her new role on July 1, 2025.
